Every Little Thing She Does is Magic

I am one of those mom whose overly proud of their kid.

There, I said it  ; -D.

We've been meaning to buy Sabina's a children bed because she's a big girl now and we want her to sleep on her own bedroom. So, yesterday, we went to Star Home (Growing Star), located at Warisan Mata-Mata Complex, Beribi, one of the shops that sells Ikea products in Brunei. There were several beds that cought our eyes, but Ikea Kritter is the cheapest among them.

Unfortunately, it is still way out of our budget. So we promise her that we will buy it next month. At home, I marked the calendar as reminder to buy the bed on March 2nd. Surprisingly, this morning I've noticed something on the calendar, It was Sabina's first hand writing ever. She wrote the word "bed" along with the line starting from March 2nd, with a tiny square as an ending, she claimed it's a drawing of her soon to be bed.

We are so proud of her, because she's only 3,5 years old and we never teach her how to write before. Alhamdulillah..praise to Allah SWT for giving her to us.

Another accomplishment she did today.. that she is officially can button up her jammies. Yaaay. One proud mama is in the house.

Pasar Gadong Night Market

Saving money on dining out may sound impossible, but actually it's not. We just have to find the place where they serve good local treats, food and beverages without digging deep into our pocket.

Today we went to the Pasar Gadong Night Market, and boy this place really meet our expectations. Everything here looks yummy and fresh.

Drawing Time

Got nothing to do while waiting for Sabina at school, so i made this lil fairy and friends..got the idea from googling...really like doing this..

Sabina's first day at school

We had an interview at ISB last week, and yesterday we were told that Sabina got an offer of acceptance. So we went to school to finish the paperwork then bought her uniforms. The uniform is so cute, it's a green and white plaid dress over the knee length. She also got a similar color sunhat and a tiny garment bag.

Today was her first day at school, she got up early and extremely thrilled. I packed in her lunch box with potato fritters, cheese blocks, peeled-off orange and a bottled water inside her new tinkerbell bag, the one that she got from her Kinderfield friend, Azka.

On our way to school, i did the prep talk so she can manage her self at school and hopefully can ease her separation enxiety, i explained to her that today i'm only going to drop her at school, stay there for a couple of minutes than i will drive her dad to his office. And when she want to pee or poo, she should tell her teachers or teacher's asisstants. She nodded and smiled, telling me that how she's a big girl now and she will not cry when i'm not waiting for her outside the class. As we arrived at school, she was welcomed by the class head teacher, Ms. M, then Ms. E took us on class tour on where and what to do at the class.

Seconds after we say good bye, she jumped right in to the class, find her self a toy to play and never look back at me. Apperently, she was not anxious at all. Alhamdulillah, i'm so proud of her, although i must admit that i am a bit sad :(

My dearest Sabina, my lil lady, go ahead enjoy and wander your magical year. This is the time when you can play while you learn the basic skills in your social life to solve problems, adapt to new situations, cope and deal with emotions as well setting up your self esteem to be more confidence. XOXO, i love you with all my heart.

Arrived in Brunei

Hi fellows,

This is my first post on my blog since arrived in Brunei and very excited about it. I flew Royal Brunei in December 29th, 2012, with my 3 y.o. daughter from Jakarta to Bandar Seri Begawan. I was pretty nervous about it because it was an early morning flight, but ended up being okay, since my active girl sleep right to it. I bear a visa to visit my husband, and paid a fee for single entry visa of BND 20 per person at the airport. My husband waited for us outside the arrival gate, and then drove us to our new home at Kampong Tungku.

We are renting our friend's apartment who is now on the job training in Singapore for couple of months. It is a two bedroom apartment with mezzanine, located inside a housing complex. What i love about this place is that nestled in drapped hills lush greenery, so peaceful and quiet.
